The Iranian Youth Cinema Society reported that Hazhir Asadi’s short flick won the Best Animation-International and Best Direction-Animation International at the FILUMS.
The film is about two tribes who are engaged in a war due to a dispute over the possession of the sun in the sky.
The war led to the destruction of the sun and the eruption of a volcano.
The lava left members of the two tribes dead and formed a new sun.
“Several centuries pass and the humans are still in a war to claim the sun in the sky,” a synopsis for the film reads.
The FILUMS “provides a platform for independent filmmakers as well as established filmmakers and production houses to come and showcase their talent and in turn, reclaim Lahore as the center of cinema”, website of the event reads.
